In 1980, Chen Hua was admitted to the Department of Technical Physics of Peking University. After graduation, he went to study in the United States to participate in the Li Zhengdao Project (CUSPEA).
In 1991, under the tutelage of Professor Mattis, a famous physicist, he received a Ph.D. in theoretical physics from the Department of Physics, University of Utah, and won the Best Graduate Award.
In the same year, Chen Hua, who was less than 28 years old, stayed in school and became a researcher and postdoctoral fellow at the Laser Research Institute of the University of Utah, and won the Kueppel Research Award, the President’s Fund Award and the Outstanding Teaching Award.
In 1993, he entered the Department of Computer Science at Johns Hopkins University in the United States. During that time, he served as an APL researcher at the U.S. Naval Key Laboratory and participated in the construction of NASA's large-scale EOS information system. He has published dozens of representative works in international journals, and holds a number of US invention patents, and his research projects cover multiple fields of science and engineering.
