In 2002, the mouse wheel encoder was the first in China and the third professional design company independently developed and designed in the world. In 2005, it successfully developed the world’s thinnest and longest lifespan for the Swiss Logitech mouse. Continuous innovation to create world-class products

The word "first-rate" is almost the "stigma" of genuine Kedian along the way, deeply embedded in the company's bones.

Although the company was only established in 1998, in 2002, it innovatively designed and produced mouse wheel encoders, becoming the first professional design company in China and the third independently developed and designed in the world. So far, the company's mouse encoders and micro switches have the largest market share in the world.

The creation of "first-class" products with innovation has been unacceptable ever since. In 2005, Zhengpai Kedian successfully developed the world's thinnest and longest life tact switch for Swiss Logitech mouse; in 2006, the company designed and invented the mouse 4D wheel module structure applied for national invention patents and multiple overseas international patents. This patented product is widely used by Dell, Hewlett-Packard, Lenovo, Razer, and Sony. So far, Zhengpai Kedian is still the only design company in the world with this intellectual property; in 2012, the company successfully developed a mechanical keyboard for gaming equipment The keyboard switch-TTC mechanical axis, became the first domestic enterprise to design and use robots for mechanical axis.

Speaking of the process of innovation and creation of "first-class" products, one case is the most typical. In 2014, Lenovo extensively sought a cooperative company to develop and produce keyboards in order to develop an gaming notebook, but many domestic companies were at a loss for this. It turns out that the keyboards of gaming notebooks not only require long life, good stability, and high comfort, but more importantly, it is very difficult to achieve mechanical sound on thin notebook keyboards.

"Keyboard sound is very important to e-sports players, because the sound will give players a sense of control response, which directly affects the user experience." Competitors prefer mechanical sound, and the sound of each key must be consistent. This is a job that challenges the limit.

To this end, the company established a special project working group. The R&D team worked hard for months and nights, but still did not make a breakthrough. Half a year later, at about 5 a.m., Yu Zhengming suddenly woke up from an inspiration. He immediately got up and asked the R&D team to go to the factory to make samples. After a period of repeated adjustments, the core patent of the keyboard switch-the torsion spring sound was formed. Developed the world's first thin mechanical axis dedicated to gaming notebooks. This patented product was first released for Lenovo's rescuer Y910 laptop, and won two awards for the best gaming device and the best product at the 2016 CES International Exhibition in the United States.

Secure "international standards" for products

In the Zhengpai Kedian Modern Industrial Park located in Xiaojinkou Street, Huicheng District, there are not only high-standard and standard factory buildings, but also imported Swiss high-precision mold processing centers, precision metal stamping and fully imported high-grade precision plastic molding equipment, equipped with military industry Class-level dust-free assembly production workshops, automated workshops, silent laboratories, especially the WTDP (witnessed test data program) international laboratories are more eye-catching.

"With our own international laboratory, the international competitiveness of products and the efficiency of innovative research and development can be improved." Yu Zhengming said that in order for products to go to the world, they must pass international certification, but the application period for international certification is as long as one year. In 2007, the company invested more than 30 million yuan to build the WTDP international laboratory, which is the first WTDP international laboratory authorized by UL and ENEC of the United States at the same time. And an international laboratory accredited by the European Union, the test report produced by the international laboratory is globally recognized. In this way, on the one hand, the product certification time has been shortened to 3 months, and on the other hand, the products are tested in accordance with international standards, which also puts the "international standard clearance" on the product in advance.

The preparation of the international laboratory is the epitome of the transformation and upgrading of Zhengpai Kedian from chasing products to chasing industry standards.

In 2008, UL, the world’s largest and most authoritative certification body, formally invited Yu Zhengming to participate in the International Summit Technology Conference held in Malaysia to participate in the discussion and revision of the UL61058 international standard, which was released globally in 2011.

From 2015 to 2017, Zhengpai Kedian and relevant national ministries and commissions participated in the formulation of the national standard for "High Voltage Connection System for Electric Vehicles".

The tireless pursuit of "first-class" has finally made Zhengpai Kedian the champion of the segmented industry. In 2019, Zhengpai Kedian was successfully selected into the list of the first batch of specialized and new "little giants" (champions in the subdivision industry) recognized by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. Specialized and new "little giant" enterprises are selected by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on the basis of the "specialized, special and new" SMEs and products recognized by the provincial SME authorities. They are focused on market segments , A pioneer enterprise with strong innovation ability, high market share, master key core technologies, and excellent quality and efficiency.

Nanfang Daily: What do you think of the current business environment in Huicheng?

Yu Zhengming: The development of enterprises cannot be separated from a good business environment, and the government has done a good job in humanistic care. In particular, Huizhou has issued many policies in recent years. The city and district governments have always cared about us. For example, the through-train activities for enterprises held in Huizhou and Huicheng since last year have effectively solved many problems for many enterprises. In addition, Huicheng’s "Internet cleaning and efficiency enhancement" campaign launched this year has greatly improved the efficiency of work. What used to take a week can now be reduced to a day or two.

Nanfang Daily: Do you have any suggestions for the work of government departments?

Yu Zhengming: The development trend of new energy vehicles is irreversible, which is also one of the company's future directions for capital increase and production expansion. As early as 4 years ago, we participated in the formulation of the national standard for new energy vehicles. The company has done a lot of investment and technology accumulation in this direction, so we have expectations for the development of new energy vehicles. Coupled with the investment in related core components and semiconductor chips, the company's demand for land is more urgent, and it is hoped that the government can solve the problem in time in this regard.

Nanfang Daily: Enterprises are the main body to promote high-quality economic development. Under the new economic situation, how does Zhengpai Kedian take the path of comprehensive innovation and build a first-class enterprise with high-quality development?

Yu Zhengming: As a national high-tech enterprise, an engineering technology research and development center in Guangdong Province, and a provincial intellectual property demonstration enterprise, we do not blindly pursue output value and scale, but we must pursue "strong", that is, "product international competitiveness." Zhengpai Kedian’s annual R&D accounted for 8% of total sales. At present, there are more than 200 Chinese patents, including 39 invention patents, and 16 international patents in the United States, Germany, Britain, Japan, and South Korea. We continue to carry forward the spirit of craftsmanship and insist on the best footnote of innovation and creation.
